Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoons olive oil
Browned Butter Lime Sauce:
1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 tablespoon honey
Juice of 1 lime
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Zest of 1 lime, garnish
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Zest the lime and set aside.
To make the browned butter lime sauce: melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Cook, until the butter begins to turn a brown, about 2 minutes.
Stir in garlic, lime juice, 1/2 tablespoon honey, and salt and pepper to taste.
Remove from heat and set aside.
Next, season both sides of the salmon with salt and pepper.
Then coat the salmon filet with flour on both sides.
Sprinkle half of the lime zest on both sides of the salmon.
Then drizzle the honey on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium high heat.
Add salmon to the skillet and sear both sides until golden brown, this will take about 1-2 minutes per side.
Place into the preheated oven and bake until completely cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
Plate the salmon and sprinkle with lime zest and drizzle with browned butter lime sauce. Serve immediately.
