Crispy Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus
Updated: Apr 14, 2020

Prosciutto-wrapped asparagus spears are a quick and delicious appetizer or side dish to make. The prosciutto becomes crispy and the asparagus gets tender. You can even prep this ahead of time!
Crispy Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus
Serves 2
Ingredients:
6 ounces sliced prosciutto, halved horizontally 1 pound asparagus, trimmed 1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions:
Wrap the halved prosciutto around each asparagus at an angle. Make sure to cover the entire length of the spear like the photo below. Repeat the above until there is no more prosciutto.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the asparagus and cook until the prosciutto is crispy and the asparagus is tender, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Alternatively, you can drizzle the olive oil in the large skillet, add the asparagus and toss in the olive oil until the asparagus and prosciutto is lightly coated. Then place the skillet on the top shelf in a oven that has been set to broil for about 5-8 minutes (make sure to toss the asparagus at the halfway point) or cook until the prosciutto crisps up and the asparagus is tender.
Serve immediately.
