Add ginger syrup to hot water to make ginger tea.

How to make Ginger Syrup Makes 1 cup
Ingredients: 3-inch fresh ginger 8 oz rock sugar or cane sugar 1 cup water
Slice the ginger and then cut into match stick chunks.
In a sauce pan, add the water, ginger, and rock sugar or cane sugar.
Turn up the heat to high to boil, then lower the heat to a simmer for 10 minutes.
Set the wire sieve in the container.
Remove from heat and pour into the wire sieve and discard the ginger. Allow to cool before refrigerating.
